Chocolate Pilgrim Hat Thanksgiving Recipe
This super easy-to-make, no-bake Chocolate Pilgrim Hat recipe is perfect for Thanksgiving! This is a great activity to do with the kids too!
Ingredients:
- 1 lb Dark or Milk Chocoley Chocolate
Choose from- Bada Bing Bada Boom Dipping & Enrobing Chocolate (no tempering)
- INDULGENCE Dipping & Enrobing Chocolate (tempering required)
- 3 oz Bada Bing Bada Boom Dipping & Enrobing White Chocolate
- 24 chocolate striped short-bread cookies (available at any grocery store)
- 24 Large Marshmallows
- Yellow Chocolate Coloring Oil (optional)
Method:
| 1. | Place cookies chocolate side up on a cookie sheet. |
| 2. | Melt (or temper) your Chocoley
chocolate according to instructions that came with your chocolate.
Ideally, use a double boiler (or a double boiler insert). Do
not let the water touch the bottom of the double boiler. Only
let the water simmer. Do not allow it to boil or you may burn

| 3. | Use a toothpick to dip each marshmallow into melted chocolate to coat the entire thing. |
| 4. | Immediately place each chocolate dipped marshmallow in the center of a cookie so that it is standing tall. Use a second toothpick to hold the marshmallow on the cookie while removing the first toothpick. |
| 5. | Refrigerate until set. |
| 6. | While marshmallow cookies are setting melt the white chocolate. Add yellow coloring if desired. |
| 7. | Remove the marshmallow cookies from the refrigerator and use a small craft brush or toothpick to draw a small square "buckle" on each hat with white or yellow chocolate. |
| 8. | Refrigerate
until set. |
| 9. | Promptly remove from refrigerator and seal in an airtight container at room temperature until ready to serve. |
